Two different photosensitizers for PDT were evaluated: eosin Y, and methylene blue. The study focused on the clinical efficacy, patient's satisfaction, and the time and number of sessions needed to achieve a satisfactory response. Twenty patients with primary palmar hyperhidrosis were enrolled in a single‐center clinical study. Patients were treated with PDT for a maximum of eight sessions. There are new trends towards the use of immunotherapy in treatment of warts. Homologous autoinoculation is a minimally invasive procedure, which treats warts by stimulating a specific immune response against HPV Objective To evaluate the efficacy of autoinoculation therapy in treatment of multiple recalcitrant warts. Methods Under local anesthesia and aseptic condition, inoculum was collected by paring a wart by scalpel and by pressing it between two sterile glass slides. After making a subcutaneous Pocket in non-dominant forearm, the inoculum was introduced in the subcutaneous pocket with forceps and dressed. Follow up for 1,2,12 and 16 weeks was done. Results Fourty patients were included. At 12 weeks of therapy 42.5% showed complete clearance, 27.5% showed moderate clearance, 15% showed mild clearance and 12.5% showed treatment failure. We aimed to compare their efficacy in treatment of multiple warts and investigate their effect on serum interleukin (IL)-4 and IL-12. Thirty patients with multiple warts were included (10 treated with PPD, 10 with MMR, and 10 with normal saline (control)). Injection was done every 3 weeks until clearance or maximum of three treatments. Clinical response of target and distant warts was evaluated. Serum ILs-4 and -12 were assessed before and after treatment. A significantly higher rate of complete response was found in target and distant warts with PPD (60% each) and MMR (80%, 40%, respectively) compared with controls (0%), with no significant difference between both treatments.
