The current study aimed to evaluate the prevalence and associated factors of abuse among the elderly in Kashan, Iran. Materials and methods: This cross sectional study was conducted on 500 people over 60 years old in Kashan, Iran in 2014. Subjects were randomly selected from 10 healthcare centers of Kashan. Data were collected using elder abuse questionnaire. Cronbach alpha coefficient of the questionnaire was determined as 0.975. Data were analyzed by SPSS version 13. In this study, a ground source heat pump system (GSHP) with the heat package unit model of GT018 FHP Manufacturing Co was installed in Taleghan city-Iran. The system set-up included polyethylene U-bend ground heat exchanger pipes, nine drilled wells, and the pipes buried in soil at 15 m depth and in the cooling season of 2013. The system was tested and its performance was reported. In accordance with the meteorological data, the values of humidity variations, air temperature, wells and water temperatures, relative humidity and the system power supply were measured continuously for three months. The current study aimed to evaluate the prevalence and associated factors of abuse among the elderly in Kashan, Iran. Materials and methods: This cross sectional study was conducted on 500 people over 60 years old in Kashan, Iran in 2014. Subjects were randomly selected from 10 healthcare centers of Kashan. Data were collected using elder abuse questionnaire. Cronbach alpha coefficient of the questionnaire was determined as 0.975. Data were analyzed by SPSS version 13. Pearson correlation coefficient and logistic regression analysis were used for data analysis. The statistically significant level was P<0.05. Results: Results of the current study showed that 80% of subjects have experienced at least one type of abuse during the last year. Hence, this study aimed to evaluate the problems in the families of disabled children. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 352 disabled children residing in rehabilitation centers of Kashan during 2007-8. A census was conducted in families of the children through an interview and a questionnaire. Moreover, some demographic characteristics (e.g. family attitude, and problems related to disabilities) were evaluated and analyzed using the descriptive statistics. Results: Among 352 cases, 234 (66.6%) were male and most of them (36.1%) aged 10–19 years. The mean age of children was 24.2±18.5 years. Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP) have become one of the most indispensable cooling and heating sys... more Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP) have become one of the most indispensable cooling and heating systems in residential applications since they have higher energy efficiency compared to other conventional alternatives all around the world. In this study, a ground source heat pump system (GSHP) with the heat package unit model of GT018 FHP Manufacturing Co was installed in Taleghan city-Iran. The system set-up included polyethylene U-bend ground heat exchanger pipes, nine drilled wells, and the pipes buried in soil at 15 m depth and in the cooling season of 2013. The system was tested and its performance was reported. In accordance with the meteorological data, the values of humidity variations, air temperature, wells and water temperatures, relative humidity and the system power supply were measured continuously for three months.
