<p><strong>.</strong> The retre... more <p><strong>.</strong> The retreat of ice shelves and glaciers over the last century provides unequivocal evidence of recent global warming. Glacierets (miniature glaciers) are an important component that highlights the global retreat of glaciers, but knowledge of their behaviour prior to the Little Ice Age is lacking. Here, we present subglacial carbonate deposits from a recently exposed surface previously occupied by the disappearing Triglav Glacier (southeastern European Alps) that may elucidate the glacier’s existence throughout the entire Holocene since their maximum uranium-thorium (U-Th) ages suggest their possible preservation since the Last Glacial Maximum and Younger Dryas. These thin deposits, formed by regelation, are easily eroded if exposed during previous Holocene climatic optima. The age data indicate the glacier’s present unprecedented level of retreat since the Last Glacial Maximum, and the potential of subglacial carbonates as additional proxies to highlight the extraordinary nature of the current global climatic changes.</p>

Vendar pa je za taljenje ledenikov bolj kot temperatura zraka pomemben sončni obsev. V tem članku nas zanimajo razlike med posameznimi leti na isti lokaciji, to je na Triglavskem ledeniku. Podatke o sončnem obsevu v talilni dobi ledenika smo primerjali s sočasnim krčenjem ledenika in tako ocenili pomen sončnega obsevanja v primerjavi z drugimi meteorološkimi dejavniki.

Tako smo izračunali spremembo debeline in prostornine. Ledenik se je v petdesetih letih ponekod stanjšal za več kot 35 metrov, njegova prostornina pa se je zmanjšala na petdesetino prvotne.
The article presents the main characteristics of transport accessibility in the Municipality of I... more The article presents the main characteristics of transport accessibility in the Municipality of Idrija resulting from its location, natural conditions, transport infrastructure, and traffic volume. This was used as a basis to visualize possibilities for further transport development and to determine the strengths and weaknesses affecting the municipality's current and future development. The main focus on finding new innovative solutions has been in promoting sustainable mobility and new development that increases the quality of life in the municipality.
