Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendiskripsikan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa melalui media kom... more Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendiskripsikan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa melalui media komik pada siswa kelas VIII B MTs Negeri Filial Pulutan, Boyolali. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas. Siswa kelas VIII B sebagai penerima tindakan dan guru matematika sebagai pemberi tindakan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, catatan lapangan, tes dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah proses analisis data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian yang menunjukan adanya peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa dapat dilihat dari: 1) Siswa yang semangat dalam mengikuti proses belajar mengajar sebanyak 13 siswa (81,25%); 2) siswa mampu menyelesaian tugas rumah atau tugas disekolah sebanyak 15 siswa (93,75%). Dengan adanya peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa maka hasil belajar siswa turut meningkat, nilai rata-rata diatas KKM. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media komik dalam pembelajaran matematika dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa.

Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Baki pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Baki. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dengan metode analisis data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menyatakan (1) Siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir tinggi telah mampu menguasai indikator-indikator dari setiap level, artinya siswa sudah mencapai level visualisasi, Level analisis dan level deduksi informal; (2) Siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir sedang hanya mampu menguasai indikator-indikator dari level visualisasi dan level analisis artinya siswa mencapai level visualisasi, Level analisis, dan belum mampu mencapai level Deduksi Informal. (3) Siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir rendah hanya mampu menguasai indikatorindikator dari level visualisasi artinya siswa mampu mencapai level visualisasi, dan siswa belum mampu mencapai level Analisis, serta belum mampu mencapai level Deduksi Informal.

Students should be the ‘job creators’ and not the ‘job seekers’ that only wait for job offers after graduating. This study is to identify students’ environmental factors in the tendency to become entrepreneurs and to identify the level of entrepreneurial readiness amongst the students. This descriptive study applies the non-experimental quantitative approach design. The respondents of this study consist of 73 co-curriculum students of Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) who enroll in the entrepreneurship club in which are drawn from a simple random selection. Namun, terdapat segelintir murid mempunyai masalah emosi maluyang memberi kesan terhadap perkembangan kemahiran mereka. Oleh yang demikian, kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengkaji hubungan emosi maludan penglibatan murid prasekolah terhadap pengajaran dan pembelajaran kemahiran asas. Kajian ini merupakan kajian tinjauan berbentuk deskriptif. Sampel bagi kajian ini adalah terdiri daripada 118 murid Prasekolah Kementerian PendidikanMalaysia (KPM) daerah Segamat yang pemalu di mana murid yang terlibat diwakili oleh guru kelas mereka untuk membuat penilaian. Shy children tend to have verbal communication problems and low self-esteem. However, the confide... more Shy children tend to have verbal communication problems and low self-esteem. However, the confidence and communication skills of these children could not be developed solely through classroom instructions. Ironically, the co-curricular program provides a good medium for communication activities that can improve their confidence and communication skills. Therefore, this study examined children's communication skills and communication activities during the co-curricular program at their school. The areas of study were the children's level of shyness, the implementation and the effectiveness of communication activities in the co-curricular program. The quantitative study adopted a non-experimental descriptive research design. The respondents were 357 Grade Six students from elementary schools in Segamat, Johor which was selected from a random sampling. Results showed that most children were having a medium level of shyness and the communication activities were moderately implemented in the co-curricular program at their schools. Almost all respondents viewed communication activities in the co-curricular program as very effective to reduce shyness, enhance their self-esteem and communication skills. Hence, communication skills of shy children can be enhanced through appropriate communication activities conducted during the co-curricular program. Children should be encouraged and trained to speak in public by participating in the debate, public speaking and theatre activities during the co-curricular to reduce their shyness.
