This essay will look at the Traffic Theory which was found by a Danish mathematician Agner Krarup Erlang. The aim of this paper is to find out whether or not Erlang's Traffic Theory Determines How Many Service-Providing Elements Should be Provided in Order to Satisfy User. This is an important topic to investigate, because it deals with technologies which are used a lot nowadays. To answer this question I mainly used Erlang B and Erlang C formulas to find out whether or not the theory is useful and accurate in the telephone industry. Agner Krarup’s theory was initially designed to be applied in the telephony industry; however, it has been applied to the different types of life situations where you deal with queue and people waiting to receive an exclusive service. This paper will look only at the telephony part. The data was gathered from an “Anonymous” hotel, an official informative website of the city Penza and from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
