The questionnaire survey is conducted with a sample of 153 employees of the banking sector in Pakistan. Two methods are used in this study to test the moderation effect i.e. Baron and Kenny’s (1986) technique and the Process method of Andrew F. Hayes (2013). The results show that job stress and turnover intentions are positively related to each other whereas emotional intelligence has no moderating role between them. Based on the findings, it is proposed that organizations should focus on making active policies towards stress management so that employees’ turnover intentions can be reduced ensuring an encouraging working environment.

Design/methodology/approach The authors obtained 264 responses from two public traded firms in Pakistan using a supervisor-subordinated nested design and a multi-time data collecting strategy using convenience sampling. Findings The study results indicate that POQ positively affects knowledge hiding and cyberloafing. The authors also found anger as a potential mediator in the direct association between POQ and cyberloafing. In addition, the findings suggest that the association between POQ, knowledge hiding and cyberloafing will be weak when individuals exhibit HP towards their job roles. The results of this research, when considered as a whole, provided support for all of the hypothesised direct and indirect linkages, which has important ramifications for both theory and practise. The data was collected through distribution of 300 self-reported questionnaires administered in a single wave. The final sample turned out to be 246 workers of service sector organizations operating in Rawalpindi and Islamabad region. The data analysis revealed acceptable model fit indices for CFA conducted for full measurement model. Subsequently, SEM was used for testing different structural paths. The statistical findings of the study confirm that emotional exhaustion serves as underlying mechanisms, which validate the assumptions of spillover theory that the exposure to family incivility spills over to the worklife domain and emotional exhaustion is experienced followed by reduction in thriving capability and development of aggressive beha...

One of the main reasons for visiting a specific destination for almost 15% of tourists is “gastronomy”. This has led to the development of a new kind of tourism called “Gastronomic Tourism”. However, there has been minimal research on gastronomy tourism, specifically in Pakistan. A survey of 307 tourists who had recently visited Pakistan’s northern areas was undertaken to conduct the study. This has enabled us to better understand the variables that influence the behaviors and attitudes of tourists toward this popular tourist attraction. Gastronomy motivation impacts tourism location selection, and gastronomic experience influences satisfaction, according to the research. Specifically, tourists show a ke...
