The interdependencies between climate, social structures, and econom-ics are far more complicated. The tables below are an attempt to depict the neglected and overlooked role of the environment in economic cycles and vice versa. The illustrations, though simplified, are not simple. An explanation is necessary, and the text below each offers some hints in this direction. This paper is a draft and does not include bibliographical notes.

This paper is a detailed elaboration of issues discussed in a forthcoming book of mine on the value of nature. It includes a proposal for assessing the value of nature as a productive and reproductive process, and three approaches to biodiversity and regime change. Advanced mathematics, basic thermodynamics, and post-Marxism are the tools used to analyze the climate crisis and biodiversity changes around a non-equilibrium dynamic concept. The value of nature and biodiversity are interdependent, and their quantification is not impossible. Relatively simple diagrams can show the multilevel element of this interdependence of social and natural coefficients.

Governments try to balance economic factors and socially preoccupied population class politics on the international level. Populist opponents, demonstrating in the street, tend to nationalize the question, taking a problematic, highly individualistic approach. This crisis has to be considered as a revolutionary opportunity to change social and environmental relations and prevent social Darwinism.

She is also well informed about the prices of doors in the regional market of doors. Workers that freely accept lower salaries are criticized by colleagues for underestimating the value of their labor. Every capitalist looking at the share price of her company figures the price of the totality of her assets through an inventory of the value of fixed and circulating capital, as well as considering the time needed to produce a commodity or service. Marxists and economists of all kinds have great difficulties with the notions of values and prices. This paper is concerned with this problem from a post-Marxist point of view.

It introduces mathematics in order to examine the Marxian notion of the turnover of capital and to approach the production and circulation of capital in a way that includes human and environmental activity. It uses equations relevant to a mechanical equivalent of a damped driven pendulum and dynamic systems. In relevant second order nonlinear equations, chaotic situations, similar to the markets' swirling reactions, may occur and illustrate in a more accurate way the over-accumulation of capital. Crisis is perceived as a dynamic process depending on non-predictable factors.

Before taking in account external factors such as social, environmental or gender factors, the immanent character of such a tendency should be examined. Decisive changes are a result of external pressure and developments can occur in any direction. The Marxian equation for the rate of profit (p΄) includes nonlinear relations, as any changes in the denominator change the numerator as well. Any change as a result of technical innovations changes the surplus value in a not estinated way. A crisis does not exclusively result from a falling p΄.

In order illustrate his althusserian thesis, he examines the case of Venice. JEL Classification: B14, B15, N13 Keywords: John Milios, Marxism, aleatory encounter, history, Venice I have personally known John Milios since our adolescence, and our relationship and acquaintance can be best described by the second part of the title of his recent book: 'The Prevalence of an Aleatory Encounter'. We have been moving in parallel ways in our respective political lives, and we meet every now and then, most often in circumstances of political activism or theoretical praxes. I have read many of his books published in Greek, English and German, and enjoy his ability to destabilize traditional Marxist theories by asking questions or using Marx himself as a reference. Although I am not a Marxist, we have both been influenced by the French 'structuralist tradition' of Louis Althusser. I had the opportunity to read his latest book and found it a most enjoyable read. The book is divided into three parts: the first and mostly theoretical Capitalism and its origins: the theoretical context, followed by the more historically-oriented Venice and the Mediterranean:

This book deals with this crisis and related issues of urban and rural property using post-Marxist economics and natural science. It was originally written in german. I could not find an editor either because my german is bad or I am not an academic or both. So I decided to translate it into English and post the preface on Academia.edu.
