Noise figure is one of the measures of performance of a receiver circuit with respect to noise. It is seen that receiver circuits are employed with FET devices due to low power consumption, low cost and high package density. With this paper LNA design of Optically Gated MOSFET (OGMOSFET) is carried out as LNA is the first building block of any receiver circuit. LNA is designed for narrow band of 2-3 GHz. Modeling of optical interaction in LNA is presented. Simulation is carried out for single ended LNA in MATLAB. Noise figure is plotted against different W/L and found minimum for W/L=0.35μm. MOSFET having length of 0.35μm is selected for design which is optically gated with incident optical power of 0.25mW and wavelength of 800nm. Inversion level of OGMOSFET increases under illumination. Prime goal of LNA design is noise reduction. Noise figure of LNA is computed under dark and illumination. Result shows that the noise figure of LNA employing OGMOSFET (illuminated gate) reduces significantly as compare to conventional MOSFET (dark).

Automatic coin recognition and identification systemplays vital role in vending machine, slot mac... more Automatic coin recognition and identification systemplays vital role in vending machine, slot machine and in several banking related equipment's. Most of the existing coin recognitions systems are based on physical parameters of the coins whereas image processing methodologies relies on extraction of color, shape and edge features. For recognition and detection of Indian coin we have proposed Deep Learning approach in this paper. Pretrained convolutional neural network i.e. AlexNet is trained by using the features such as textures, colors and shape. The model is trained on more than 1600 images and can classify images into four object categories like one, two, five and ten rupees coins. The trained model is tested on various standard and own recorded datasets consist of rotational, translated and shifted images. The parameters used to calibrate the performance system are recognition accuracy and response time. Obtained results shown the outperformance of proposed methodology over conventional systems.

The main function of digital filter is to pass the desired components or to remove the undesired components of the input signal. From mathematical view, a digital filter compute the convolution of the sampled input and the weighting function of the filter. In this paper the multiplier of FIR filter design with constant coefficient. The coefficient is already designed in Matlab. This multiplier is most important part of FIR filter. The multiplier design with adder, subtractor and add shift techniques. This technique is nothing but FIR filter architecture with transposed form. This technique design by three algorithm and three architecture described in next section with delay comparison.

Vision based motion estimation can also be said as the interpretation of motions via mathematical algorithms. This system have applications in domains such as sign language translation, virtual environments, smart surveillance, controlling robots, control of machines, medical systems etc. The task is challenging due to the accuracy, further the items in the background or distinct features of the users may make recognition more difficult. In this survey, we address these challenges. We provide an overview of current advances in the field. Further, we discuss limitations and outline promising directions of research. A brief overview of methodologies implemented by earlier researcher on vision based gesture recognition for human machine interaction is discussed here.

In this paper it is used in implementation of a FPGA based digital camera system for image capturing and real time image processing. Image captured by a Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) camera's image sensor are initially stored in the FPGA device memory and then they are displayed on the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) digital touch panel. The main goal of this proposed design implementation architecture is to implement and test advanced complex image processing algorithm. The device also supports the control of the Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) image sensor through the control of the Liquid Crystal Display LCD digital touch panel. Further the FPGA device has the ability to communicate with a Personal Computer (PC) through an interfaced Joint Test Automatic Generation (JTAG) for storing the images on to it and further processing. The structural element of this proposed architecture was chosen to be implemented on ALTERA's DE2 FPGA device.

This gives attention on an important issue of compression, resulting into reduction in cost of data storage and transmission. For still image compression JPEG is used world -wide. But alternative methods are also being explored; Fractal image compression is one of them. It is based on the self-similarity property to find out the best match within the image itself. This property is used to generate a fractal code. In this paper, the new approach for fractal image compression using genetic algorithm with ranking select mechanism is proposed. This proposed algorithm is applied on fractal as well as non-fractal images and the experimental result shows that the encoding time for both types of images is greatly reduced while maintaining their quality intact.

This paper presents a feasible resolution for Rijindael's encryption and decryption using VHDL for FPGA (cyclone III) & ‘C’ running over Nios II processor. The Nios II is a versatile embedded processor which is high performance, of lower cost and power consumption, has low complexity combining several functions into one FPGA. This paper shows implementation of AES algorithm for 128 bit data and 128 bit key in RTL (VHDL) and its software implementation using C. To measure performance in same system that is same hardware Nios II soft core processor is used. Hence this paper shows application of Advance Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm in UART for secure transfer of data in software and hardware platforms which are (RTL)VHDL and ‘C’ and further to decide suitability of its implementation of specific platform(software or hardware) depending on different baud rates supported by UART. The results are compared with the help of tools modelsim (Quartus II) and Nios II 10.1 software build tools for eclipse.

Present paper makes an attempt to investigate dependence of I-V characteristics and transconductance on optical illumination. Optical effects are mainly due to the lowering of surface potential barrier in presence of illumination called photon induced barrier lowering (PIBL). Investigation shows that drain current and the trans-conductance increases significantly in the presence of optical illumination. The device is expected to emerge for high speed application in optical system viz. photo-detector, optical switch, and imaging.

Proposed system consist of IoT enabled central processor comprise of digital camera to continuously monitor and control its mechanism according to current position of stacker. Our solution overcomes the limitations of existing industrial electrical stacker that are accurate positioning and controlling from distance. We have also developed an mobile app for smoother operation of developed system.
