With an itemized progression point system from prior reading skills to post reading performances, ILA affected significantly in the improvement of reading skills among experimental participants thpough the sixe of the respondents did not differentiate largely. Phonetic word and fluency word count per minute among respondents both prior and post between control and experimental groups were lower than 138-word count per minute. Vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency were attributed to law of exercise. ILA has significant effect on reading skills, influenced with local familyâs exposure to Cebuano with blended local TV, online commercials, and lack of exposure.

More specifically, it looked into their preparedness on remote digital teaching using the TPACK model, the relationship between their demographics, and the seven dimensions of knowledge of TPACK model and its interrelationship using a descriptive correlational research design. The sample was composed of 1,402 PE teachers across the three major islands of the Philippines who, using online survey, answered a 19-item questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale about their TPACK on remote digital teaching. Using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation and Chi-Square test of Independence, the study yielded four major results: 1) PE teachers have an average level of preparedness to conduct remote digital teaching in all domains of knowledge of TPACK; 2) The preparedness level of the PE teachers to conduct remote digital teaching in all...

The data suggested that conceptual and procedural knowledge plus the ability to correct misconception are important in increasing the likelihood of quality instruction. The Quality instruction index suggests that respondents have a surface level conceptual knowledge. These limited conceptual knowledge of the respondents affected their assessment. It was hypothesized that the Education for All (EFA) goal no. 6 of improving all aspects of the quality of education and ensuring excellence for 2015 cannot be achieved.

The study utilized the pre-testpost-test design under pre-experimental research design to determine the levels of reading comprehension skills of BEEd students before and after using SQ3R method. In additional, T-test was used to assess the significant difference of students' reading performance of the two assessments. Furthermore, the simple percentage was used to get the reading comprehension skill levels of the students and the K to 12 standard academic performance to interpret the results. Findings revealed that in the first assessment, the level of reading comprehension of the students was under the beginner level. After they were exposed to SQ3R method in the second assessment, their level move to Approaching Proficiency. The study concluded that using the SQ3R ...

People always see gender differences in different aspects and try to find who has greater ability between male and female. Thus, this study compares the reading comprehension of the two different genders on the literary pieces written by Edgar Allan Poe. This study utilized the quantitative method specifically the comparative research design. In this study, a sample of 80 senior high school students from a certain University are randomly selected in which 40 of them are males and another 40 are females. The data gathered are analyzed using Ttest for independent samples. The findings reveal that there is a significant difference in the comprehension skills between the two (2) genders. Moreover, the results revealed that female students are superior in comprehending the literary pieces by Edgar Allan Poe compared to their counterparts. The findings explicate that female students established a higher level of understanding on the ...

This paper proposes a model that links two (2) global markets: the higher education market and the labor market, as dramatic changes are taking place in the 21st century. A modeling and simulation strategy has been employed in this paper predicting the impact of higher education market to the labor market. Results indicated that with the rapid expansion of the higher education market, the size of the higher education labor force will inevitably expand. The labor market tolerates a maximum expansion capacity for HE graduates beyond which the excess HE graduates will bifurcate into two (2) channels of productive sector, namely: (a) the creation of new economies; or (b) the integration of HE graduates into the skilled labor force. This dynamics necessarily yields a highly fragmented labor force con iguration. In essence, the evolution of the labor market is a replica of Darwin's Biological Theory of Evolution where only the ittest will survive, i.e. evolution through mutation and adaptation whose equivalent concepts in this setting are "innovation" and "adaptation" respectively. It is well-established in Evolutionary Biology that "mutation" is the shortest-route to evolution and so we posit that "innovation" is the shortest route to the labor market evolutionary ladder. Therefore, a good university must be able to produce graduates who are innovative and adaptive at the same time to survive in a competitive labor market.

There are 40 students randomly selected per strand. They are tested using the Language Proficiency Test in English. The one-way Analysis of Variance was utilized in the study. The findings reveal that there is a significant difference (p<0.05) in the English language proficiency of the students from the five (5) strands. Moreover, the students from the STEM strand excel from the other strands. This further indicates that the STEM students are more superior and developed on the academic literacy, alterna...
