Since there has been limited research exploring the relationship between mobile addiction, interpersonal relationship, and academic behaviour among young adults in tertiary institutions, the present study has embarked on an exploration of the relationship between these three variables in the Malaysian higher education context. Methodology – A descriptive correlational research design was employed to collect and analyse the data, which came from a total of 150 young adults who responded to an online Google form distributed through a WhatsApp link. The items in the questionnaire were adapted from various doctorate studies. The data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics such as the mean and standard deviation, correlation, and multiple regression. Tujuan – Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk menyelidik kemahiran guru dalam membimbing murid melaksan... more Tujuan – Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk menyelidik kemahiran guru dalam membimbing murid melaksanakan kerja kursus Sejarah (KKS) dan Geografi (KKG) di peringkat sekolah menengah rendah. Metodologi – Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah penyelidikan deskriptif. Instrumen utama yang digunakan merupakan soal selidik yang ditadbirkan kepada seramai 186 orang guru yang mengajar di sembilan buah negeri di Malaysia yang telah dipilih scara rawak. Responden ini terdiri daripada guru yang mengajar Sejarah dan Geografi Tingkatan Satu hingga Tiga. Statistik deskriptif yang melibatkan min dan sisihan piawai serta statistik inferensi seperti ujian-t telah digunakan untuk menjalankan analisis data. This study aimed to investigate the nature of conflict management style (CMS) of school’s princip... more This study aimed to investigate the nature of conflict management style (CMS) of school’s principals and to identify any significant difference in the perception of CMS practiced by the school principal from the view point of intermediate school teachers in Bahrain based on gender. A mixed method of descriptive research design was employed in this study. The data were collected through questionnaire and interview. This study involved 327 teachers selected based on stratified random sampling from 37 intermediate schools in Bahrain in the questionnaire survey. Besides that, five senior teachers have been selected purposively to provide further feedback in the interviews. The findings indicated that most of the school principals have adopted compromise and collaboration styles of conflict management, and empowering senior teachers to help resolve conflicts and a reform of the procedures in schools are needed to maintain a healthier working environment for teachers. This move towards decentralizing assessment would most certainly put a critical demand on teachers to prepare and construct valid and reliable tests to ensure students are being assessed fairly in schools. A quick way to prepare and construct valid and reliable tests is to use item analysis software. Item analysis software simplifies the process of conducting item analysis and facilitates the formation of an item bank in educational institutions. Hence, this research was conducted to examine teachers' competency (knowledge and skills) in performing item analysis as well as their usage of item analysis software. Findings of the study show that the respondents have moderate level of knowledge on item analysis as well as in using item analysis software. More relevant training is considered crucial to enhance the teachers' knowledge on item analysis and item analysis software for a more valid and reliable test in school.
