O artigo tem como objetivo averiguar as atuais tendências da oferta de experiências memoráveis po... more O artigo tem como objetivo averiguar as atuais tendências da oferta de experiências memoráveis por parte dos hotéis da música. Neste contexto, este artigo inicia-se com o enquadramento teórico apoiado na Economia das Experiências associada à hotelaria. Os resultados evidenciam o reconhecimento crescente da importância da tematização e a preocupação no estreitamento da associação entre a hotelaria e domínios culturais e criativos. Com vista a ofertar experiências mais profundas e transformadoras aos hóspedes, os hotéis da música tendem a valorizar a distintividade e unicidade arquitetónica, de design, decoração de interiores, memorabilia e disponibilização de atividades ligadas à música, tais como eventos, concertos e mesmo possibilidade de usufruto de um estúdio de música.
The Internet has transformed people's daily lives, not only in the search of information ... more The Internet has transformed people's daily lives, not only in the search of information but above all giving the possibility of buying several products and services in a quick and easy way. Social networks have emerged as the quintessential medium for sharing experiences and communicating tourist information to all players in the tourism distribution chain. Today, we can sell, search, consume, connect, and share experiences related to our travel or services on different social media platforms and some online communities that share the same interests. The focus of this chapter is to point out the use of social media along the travel process in order to understand the behaviour of tourists before, during, and after trip. Having in mind the travel decision-making process the authors prepared a questionnaire with several questions spread through Facebook and answered by 95 people. The authors present the results and main conclusions in the chapter.
The role of trust in mobile payment has been examined in different studies due to its importance ... more The role of trust in mobile payment has been examined in different studies due to its importance in understanding consumer behaviour in mobile transactions,. This investigation contributes with a segmentation and a characterization of smartphone users based on their trust in mobile payment. Data was collected from 456 Spanish smartphone users and cluster analysis was employed to segment Spanish respondents. The results indicate that Spanish smartphone users can be classified into three segments depending on their trust in mobile payment. In terms of the characterization of each category, it is found that they present different demographics characteristics. While men, users aged between 25 and 34 and self-employed are overrepresented in users with high trust in mobile payment, women and users older than 45 years are overrepresented in users with low trust in mobile payment. Internet of Everything (IoE) intends to connect people, processes and things in an intelligent wa... more Internet of Everything (IoE) intends to connect people, processes and things in an intelligent way to improve the user's experience and the person's well-being. With increasing life expectancy, the aging population is growing in developed countries, the use of technologies by seniors can contribute to their well-being, especially the internet and social networks, since they enable communication with other people. The present study focuses on the senior population (above 55 years) who uses social networks; it intends to analyze the user's personal characteristics and the valorization given to the technological experience associated with social networks, and to identify use habits. A questionnaire was disseminated online through social networks to gauge users' behavior. The methodology used considers a descriptive statistics analysis. From the results obtained it was concluded that social networks can contribute to increase the well-being of users, and provide key ideas to apply to IoE.
