Therefore, the purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness of augmented reality technology in improving positive outcomes of individual with intellectual disabilities. Following Arksey and O’Malley and Kitchenham guideline, a meta-analysis of the overall effect of augmented reality on individuals with intellectual disabilities was conducted. Twenty-two studies were considered to explore the effect of augmented reality technology on the outcomes of individuals with intellectual disabilities. The result of the majority of the studies indicated that augmented reality technology was effective in improving positive outcomes among individuals with intellectual disabilities. Hence, the study offers the benefits of utilizing augmented reality technology in special needs setting and could be a successful te...

The use of digital technology such as augmented reality AR technology has been an important topic... more The use of digital technology such as augmented reality AR technology has been an important topic of research in several fields, uncovering diverse benefits regarding its impacts. Although there have been numerous empirical studies on the design and evaluation techniques of the AR approach to enhance physical, cognitive, personal, social abilities in science education, their outcomes varied in different science disciplines, and there is a lack of reviews on how the AR has been applied in the field of science education. The aim of this study is to conduct a scoping review on the positivity of AR applications in science education. This study presents a scoping literature review of 26 studies published between 2015-2020 on AR in science education. The results indicated an overall positive impact of AR in science education. The results from this systematic review are expected to provide valuable information regarding the AR usage in science fields.

Real opportunity to use digital technology such as augmented reality AR technology have been used in several fields, uncovering diverse benefits regarding its usage. However, further research is needed to understand exactly how the AR enhance students learning. Focusing on individuals with special needs, AR is being used in higher education for the last few years to enhance physical, cognitive, personal, and social abilities. This systematic review presented an overview of the usage of AR technology in the special needs area in higher education literature published between 2011 and 2020 and
focused on research indexed in 8 international databases. 36 studies were included for review. The results indicate that the majority of research showed positive outcomes as the AR technology proved to be effective with students with disabilities. The results also showed that AR technology was mostly used in intellectual disability setting. Finally, the result evidenced that AR assists students in enhancing their social
skills, social relationships and their engagement. The results from this systematic review provide valuable information regarding to enhance individual with special needs. Future empirical research should ensure that all research is included, including settings, level of students and data collection methods such as quantitative and qualitative.

To achieve this goal, the researchers prepared teacher's guide to use LMS, concept acquisition test, and critical thinking skills test. The qusi-experiemental design was used, and the study was applied on 11th grade students in Nasser bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah Secondary Independent School for Boys in Qatar State. The study sample consisted of 88 students, who were selected according to purposive method, they were divided into two groups, one of which consisted of 50 students, they used LMS, and the other were 38 students, used conventional method. The study results showed a statistically significant effect of the LMS in improving scientific concepts acquisition in human transport subject and improving critical thinking skills of the 11th grade students. Design: A cross-sectional was conducted to collect the knowledge and attitude of university students about COVID-19. Currently registered undergraduate and postgraduate students from four independent universities in the northern part of Jordan were recruited. Materials and Methods: Online questionnaire was sent to participants during April 2020. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics using SPSS. Results: Data from 1172 participants were analyzed: 31% were males and 60.8% were from scientific faculties. Students had a "poor" level of knowledge about the incubation period scale (32.2%) and COVID-19 symptoms (57.2%) and "excellent" level about practice of preventive behaviors scale (96.4%). There were significant differences between students from scientific faculties and students from other faculties, and s...

We achieve high conversion efficiencies up to 75% using low laser powers in a simple apparatus and demonstrate a focusing dependence that deviates significantly from the traditional long-pulse result. We have also observed that the spectral width of the generated blue light can be tuned by more than a factor of five by varying the focusing conditions

This increase in efficiency by more than two orders of magnitude may allow the construction of systems using time-to-space mapping in conjunction with smart pixel optoelectronic device arrays to perform sophisticated ultrafast pulse processing operations repeatable at communication rates

The mechanism responsible for switching is attributed to the optical Stark effect which enabled consecutive switching events spaced 1.7 ps apart. Carrier generation due to linear absorption of the band-tail states and the observed two-photon absorption results in a gradual slope in the background. Our experiments indicate that nonlinear refraction due to the AC Stark effect is most pronounced when the excitation field is polarized with the E-field parallel to the interfaces.
