The experiment was conducted in the Biological Sciences laboratory, University of Maiduguri. Completely Randomized Design with three replicates was used to compare the level of infestation by C. maculatus on Soya beans and Bambara groundnut using different quantities. The results showed that significantly (P=0.05) more eggs where laid on Soya beans than Bambara groundnut. Consequently, the number of adults that emerged from Bambara groundnut significantly (P=0.05) outnumbered those on Soya beans. It is clear from the experiment that Bambara groundnut is more prone to attack by C. maculatus as compared to Soya beans. By the emergence of many adults from Bambara groundnut, it showed that the produce is infested by C. maculatus which results to weight loss and decreased germination potential of the seed.

Such measures have very complicated workflows and comprise multiple illegal actors and organizations. Threat hunting demonstrates the process of proactively searching through networks for threats based on zero-day attacks by repeating the hunting process again and again. Unlike threat intelligence, it uses different automated security tools to collect logs in order to provide a pattern for making new intelligence-based tools by following those logs. According to our research findings about “threat hunting tools” there’s a major flaw that the designed tools are limited to the collection of logs. It works completely on logs for generating new patterns avoiding system’s main memory. Codes written directly to memory fail this process to provide proactive hunting. Phytochemicals with protein binding properties, active against snake envenomation such as flavono... more Phytochemicals with protein binding properties, active against snake envenomation such as flavonoids, polyphenols, saponins, tannins, terpenoids, xanthenes, quinonoids, steroids and alkaloids bind to toxic venom proteins thereby inactivating them. This research was aimed at isolating antisnake venom agents from Azadirachta indica leaf extracts using activity-guided isolation protocols. A. indica leaf was collected, authenticated and extracted using methanol followed by solvent-fractionation using hexane and ethylacetate. These fractions were further separated using column and thin-layer chromatography. The pooled chromatographic fractions were screened for the antivenom activity using Naja nigricollis venom phospholipase A2 (NVPLA2) inhibition assay and albino rat models. Calibrations were constructed for the six metals using standard solutions. The analysis showed that the concentrations of Pb and Cd are appreciably high where as Cu, Cr, Fe and Zn are too high compared to standard given by WHO. The concentrations however showed small variations from sample to sample and place to place in a collection of 20 samples in a length of 3 Km with a width of 1Km.
