Despite clear guidelines for exercise in individuals with many non-communicable diseases, the guidance for people with stroke (PwS) who frequently present with multiple comorbidities is less clear. A systematic review of exercise guidelines was undertaken to synthesise themes and patterns. Methods: The review was completed according to the PRISMA statement. Guideline-specific databases were searched for worldwide clinical practice guidelines (CPGs). All included papers underwent quality assessment using the AGREE II protocol. Content synthesis and analysis of the guidelines was undertaken using CERT. Results: Searching identified 2184 papers. After duplicate removal and screening by title and abstract, 22 CPGs remained for review. Seven guidelines identified three key roles for exercise interventions: (1) promoting a healthy lifestyle, (2) prevention of further strokes and (3) r...

When combined with pre-existing comorbidities such as cardiac disease and diabetes, it results in reductions in cardiovascular (CV) fitness, physical activity levels, functional capacity, and levels of independent living. High-intensity training protocols have shown promising improvements in fitness and function for people with stroke (PwS). However, it remains unclear how intensity is defined, measured, and prescribed in this population. Further, we do not know what the optimal outcome measures are to capture the benefits of intensive exercise.Aim: To understand how intensity is defined and calibrated in the stroke exercise literature to date and how the benefits of high-intensity training in PwS are measured. Methods: A rapid review of the literature was undertaken to provide an evide...

Professors and students have observed a lack of effective communication; therefore, innovative pedagogies that can increase teacher-learner communication are urgently needed. Using a questionnaire to collect data from EFL professors, this study applies the analytical research approach to achieve its conclusions. The vast majority of respondents agreed that the Dogme approach in EFL classes is highly significant in a variety of ways, including enhancing rapport between instructors and students as well as between students themselves, promoting interaction, enhancing communication skills, and encouraging students to ask open-ended questions. The study concludes by proposing methods to create a more communicative learning environment, such as using warm-up oral questions, assessing learners' comprehension through oral questioning after each learning outcome, and employing the ...
Incorporating gamification into foreign language learning is a successful and effective strategy ... more Incorporating gamification into foreign language learning is a successful and effective strategy for improving learners' level of language skills and helping them to master communication with others. This study aimed to determine the impact of Kahoot, a gamification-based technological application, on English language vocabulary for academic purposes and motivation. Thus, 60 students were selected from among the university students enrolled in the English Language for Academic Purposes course. These students were randomly split into two equal classes: the control and experimental groups. English vocabulary Test was given to both groups following a pre-test, with the experimental group receiving Kahoot instruction while the control group received traditional instruction. The teaching continued for ten weeks, after which the students were tested with a post-test on the same vocabulary learned. Moreover, a motivation scale was used to identify the effect of Kahoot in enhancing the ...

The current study aimed at examining the impact of the ubiquitous learning (ULearning) in developing some creative thinking levels among university students in different specializations (the educational technology, English language, and Mathematics Majors). The significance of the study lies in three important points: first, the employment of the Ulearning in the educational process. Second, this study contributed in creating new activities that might be used in developing creative thinking levels and improving the learning process. Third, this study might be seen by educators as an important method of using Ulearning and its applications which might open the door for more researches. Moreover, the findings revealed that there was a positive effect for using U-learning on creative thinking ...

The data are collected through the use of constructed questionnaire, whichconsists of two parts. Part 1: consists of (5) items about demographic characteristics, part 2: consists of (4) itemsabout reproductive status, descriptive statistical analysis procedures (frequency, percentage, Contingencycoefficients, polynomial cube order). Results: Revealed that the infertile women in the study group had decrease in their Body Mass Index with aging(with increase of infertility duration) and that related to their knowledge about the effect of obesity on theircondition and decrease the chance for pregnancy and reproduction.Recommendations: the study recommended that all the infertile women should be maintenance their weight andbecome within normal rang to avoi...

The sample was chosen from English language preparation program students at college of sciences and Arts. The random sample consisted of (n=40) students. Those students were divided into two similar groups, Experimental and Control groups. To collect the data of the study, the Authors used a pre-posttest, interviews with the students and a motivation scale. T-test was used to compare between the two groups at the pre and post-test. The results revealed an observed improvement in writing skills, motivation, and attitudes for the benefit of experimental group. Moreover, the findings revealed that there were statistical differences between pre and post-test for the experimental group. No differences were found, according to the control group.

Different coupling configurations are considered. These new resonators are then applied to design a multilayer second-order coupled resonator bandpass Chebychev filter and a fourth order cross-coupled resonator pseudo-elliptic filter. Experimental results are presented to show the performance of these filters.

In this paper a low complexity multistage pilot-based channel estimator is introduced, in which, the time delays and number of paths are first estimated using
