From November 2023 to February 2024 I was unemployed. I quit my previous job after burning out, took a few weeks to recover, and then found out that trying to get a job in this economy is better said than done. So I spent a few months applying to jobs, and adopting new hobbies, like drawing comics.
I have some formal training in traditional art, and I had dabbled in comics before, but never in earnest. However, around January of 2024, I found myself interested enough to start taking comics seriously. I joined the Comics Accountability Club (CAC) and starting drawing. I also have several zines, prints, and stickers available for purchase from my ko-fi shop.
My most recent accomplishment is getting my Slice of Lief comics in a newspaper! I've gotten an ongoing spot on the back page of The Scribe, a monthly non-profit arts newspaper based in Ohio. You can pick up a copy of the paper for free at the locations listed on their website, read it free online, or pay a small monthly fee to get it delivered to your house and support the publication and the artists (like me!).
