DOOM - Affine Edition
WHAT IF DOOM... USED AFFINE TEXTURE MAPPING??
EXPERIENCE AN INCREDIBLE JOURNEY THROUGH THE EYES OF A DOOMED SPACE MARINE WHO CAN ONLY SEE A THIRD OF E1M1 WITH AFFINE TEXTURE MAPPING. FEEL THE NAUSEA, THE FRUSTRATION OF BEING UNABLE TO OPEN DOORS OR FIRE GUNS. BE TRAPPED IN E1M1. ALONE, TOGETHER WITH AFFINE TEXTURE MAPPING. WIW WOW.
DO NOT LOOK AT THE FLOOR.
This is a partial recreation of E1M1 from 1993's DOOM, relentlessly lathered with Burning North's Flashback '94 for extra nausea. I mostly just wanted to see how it'd look with affine texture mapping and vertex snapping (PS1-era hell), but also saw the recreation as a fun exercise in modelling, texturing, and making quick prototypes in Unity.
The entire project took about a week. Three days for the level (had to be remade from scratch twice), three evenings for the DOOM logo model, and everything else was done inbetween!

Install instructions
IN BROWSER (WIN/MAC/LINUX MAYBE??): The HTML5 app should work in-browser for users on Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer. Just give it a moment to load! You might have to activate a widget too, look to the top-left of your browser for that.
No idea about Safari. Fingers crossed?
ON WINDOWS: Download and unzip, then run. No settings. Hope it works!!
ON OSX: Unfortunately I don't have access to an Apple PC, so I have no way to build or test for OSX. All I can ask is that you try one of the browsers mentioned above and hope for the best. Sorry! :(
