Office of the President
The Office of the President provides leadership in the implementation of the University Strategic Plan and oversight for all departments at Haskell Indian Nations University in carrying out these functions.
Working with a senior management team, staff in the Office of the President ensure Haskell’s historic legacy in the partial fulfillment of sacred treaty and trust responsibilities for higher education to American Indians and Alaska Natives is met. Haskell’s mission of serving the educational needs of Indian Country is accomplished by the provision of high quality baccalaureate and associate degrees that honor the cultural legacy, experiences and resilience of tribal people in its curriculum. Haskell Indian Nations University embraces the principles of sovereignty and self-determination required to build capacity in Indian Country.
Staff in the Office of the President serve as key members of the university in representing the Office of the President, providing information and outreach to the public and support for a variety of campus events; as well as guidance and evaluation of key operations and priorities related to student retention and engagement, grants management, fiscal oversight, community outreach and engagement, and institutional effectiveness. Staff in the Office of the President also work on behalf of the National Board of Regents in scheduling and convening meetings of the Regents and organizing sessions with campus stakeholders.
