I have installed the latest release of WinPython and cannot run Spyder or configuration programs. They execute but immediately terminate without showing any screen or error.

When I try and run the python interpreter exe I get the following results without starting the python interpreter.
;C:\Program Files (x86)\PHP\v5.6;C:\Program Files (x86)\iis express\PHP\v5.3;C:\Program Files\PHP\v5.3;C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common;C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\iCLS Client;C:\Program Files\Intel\iCLS Client;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;C:\WINDOWS\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0;c:\Program Files\Intel\WiFi\bin;c:\Program Files\Common Files\Intel\WirelessCommon;C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.5\bin;C:\Program Files\Intel\Intel(R) Management Engine Components\DAL;C:\Program Files\Intel\Intel(R) Management Engine Components\IPT;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;C:\WINDOWS\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0;C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Intuit\QBPOSSDKRuntime;C:\Program Files (x86)\MySQL\MySQL Fabric 1.5

C:\winpython\WinPython-64bit-3.5.4.1Qt5\scripts>

I am guessing the problem is related to the C:\Program Files (x86)\MySQL\MySQL Fabric 1.5 reference but do not know. The MySQL installation did not have a directory with MySQL Fabric 1.5; instead it had a directory with MySQL Fabric 1.5 and Utilities. I renamed it to correspond with the above but it did not help.

hum, it may be that a program name in your other directories is conflicting with a winpython program name. can't guess more from here.

someone reported a similar problem once, a few years ago.
