In its first week, the Strands SDK repo had 771 stars and 5700+ unique visitors. The team feels lucky and grateful to have so many people interested in building agents with Strands. Together, we merged over 33 pull requests including several made by community contributors. We're looking forward to merging the next batch, including more model providers and various fixes that you've helped us to address.
Our next major focus is improving async support with #83. Let us know how you'd like async to work! We're also busy scaling up our triage processes to better engage with you, and I'm working on a publishable roadmap so you can see where we're headed and influence our direction.
In case you missed it, strands-agents/samples has been growing rapidly with over a dozen demonstration agents to get you started, and a set of complex agents to make it easy to see what's possible to build with Strands. For example, the AWS assistant demonstrates how to use a multi-agent architecture with a variety of tools to explore AWS.
