Lark is an innovative parsing toolkit written in Python, that provides an intuitive and beginner-friendly interface to parsing, with a long list of features and abilities, including production-ready parsing algorithms.
Since its conception, three years ago, Lark has grown in features, matured in stability, and gained a large following. None of this would have been possible without Lark's many contributors and their amazing contributions to the library itself and to its ecosystem.
Lark still has a lot of room to grow. We would like to add more parsing algorithms to choose from, to have better editor support for the grammars, to create standalone parsers for more programming languages, and to add all sorts of new and exciting features.
While we continue this work for our own fun, and possibly also for ideological reasons, having funding would help us free up more of our time to do so, and perhaps hire outside help for things like specialty issues, integration with other projects, and peripheral tasks like graphic design.
Our expenses will be transparent, and voted on by the contributors.
