Summary
Servo has been participating in Outreachy several times, we believe it would be useful to use the money from Servo Open Collective to sponsor 1 internship in the May 2025 cohort.
The cost is 8,000 USD, the intern will get 7,000 USD and the rest of the money goes to Outreachy organization.

Benefits
Outreachy participation is very positive for the Servo project bringing new contributors from diverse backgrounds. Having an extra intern will provide more opportunities to newcomers to join the project.
Risks
If we don't have this, we'll have one less intern in the May 2025 cohort.
Alternatives
There are other internships programs like GSOC, but Servo has been successfully working with Outreachy for quite a while.
Administrator
I'll be the main contact with Outreachy organization about this. Then we'll need a mentor for the internship as usually with Outreachy.

I've been coordinating Servo participation in Outreachy since 2023.
