Data descriptors are optional, but:

if they are wrong then errors will occur: Unzipping with OS X's Archive Utility raises bomCopierFileCopyError #269;
if they are ignored then all sorts of horrible things can happen: Reading entries with data descriptors broken on many levels #295.

So rubyzip should be able to handle them. For some value of "handle", which might initially be to strip them out?
