Hi Keith, what do you think about filing a Go proposal to include this in x/ or even go/cmd?

Not super excited about it. There's no hurry; it can live here indefinitely. I'd like to see the ecosystem for MacOS on arm64 develop a bit more to see where it is going w.r.t. fat binaries.

If it goes in x/, or especially in go/cmd, we probably have to support it forever.
