Description
Around December 19th 2024, we started noticing failures with 500 responses when using the azuread_access_package_assignment_policy to create Access Package Assignments Policies via Terraform. After some digging and opening a high priority request with MS, we determined that the underlying issue was a change to the beta accessPackageAssignmentPolicy endpoint in MS Graph. MS had made the requestApprovalSettings.approvalMode.
We were told that these endpoints should not be used in Production workloads and that there is no guarantee or expectation of a rollback.
MS made changes to the beta endpoint, which fixed the underlying problem. We cannot rely on them to not make any breaking changes to the beta endpoints, which puts us in a precarious spot as we use the provider to configure Azure resources used in compliance workflows and processes.
Would it be possible to move to the v1 endpoints or make the version of graph a configuration?
