Strange, it works for me. Have you tried switching clients or clearing the cache from the built-in settings?

Yea on that note I by default had tv,vr and safari as 3 clients but now it stopped

It's the 3rd day morning of the incident and the app now works , I use the androidvr, tv and safari client. And I didn't did any cache clearing but it still work maybe a miracle or some random sever block. Thanks for the help. Keep up the good work.

I've just tried downloading the app from both F-droid and directly from GitHub and get the same non playback issue in both instances.
Can't seem to get playback on any song?

This is from the log, I get the same error on every song:

[2025-01-27 19:50:02.695567] Error playing song:VideoUnavailableException: Video 'k-k2_Liofy8' is unavailable
In most cases, this error indicates that the video doesn't exist, is private, or has been taken down.
If you can however open this video in your browser in incognito mode, it most likely means that YouTube changed something, which broke this library.
Please report this issue on GitHub in that case.

I wonder how the server decides which requests it needs to block, at the moment I'm checking and every song is played normally on my device :D

@brokenbadger @Spyder-6 check this build and make sure you don't have any clients selected in settings:

Uninstalled the previous version.
Did a full clean with SD Maid.
Installed provided version.
Still same issue I'm afraid?
No logs are being created this time though?

Maybe it's a UI issue rather than video fetching?

no clients are selected in settings right?

Can't be, I use as debug as release builds and literally every client works, even this build.

I should be able to tap anyone of those track for it to start playing?

I'm not being dumb? Right? 😂

I removed splash effect :D it should show mini player from 1 to 3 secs as soon as you click.

also I see vpn or something above, can that be faulty in anything?

Well...... As you pointed out, I use NordVPN.
It appears turning it off temporarily fixes the issue, so definitely getting somewhere. Thanks.
The bit I don't understand is that I use the VPN connection all day, every day without issue, what's the difference here?

Google definitely changed something, and the server blocks requests (as I heard, it's their new anti-bot blocking mechanism). However, if that's the case, I don't know why it happens to some people but not to others.

It's odd because I use the likes of YouTube for example with the VPN on and it works flawlessly.
I'm guessing for whatever reason it's only affecting API use?
It's not really an issue for me as I can use split tunneling to bypass Musify whilst keeping my VPN on, I'd just rather everything went through the VPN that's all.

Maybe I'll keep an eye on things and just see if Google changes anything in the future?

Thanks for your help, seems like an awesome app! (now I can get it to work 😂).
