401 when trying to create an agent task #11888

Hi all,
as a student, I'm luckily having access to Copilot Pro using the developer pack. I've read about the ability to create agent tasks using the CLI, however when trying to run gh agent-task create and saving the task explanation using nano, I'm getting an HTTP 401 unauthorized error. It's using a fresh web browser login, can also be confirmed usinng the command:

gh auth status
github.com
  ✓ Logged in to github.com account fcnjd (/home/julian/.config/gh/hosts.yml)
  - Active account: true
  - Git operations protocol: ssh
  - Token: gho_************************************
  - Token scopes: 'gist', 'read:org', 'repo'

Any idea what I'm doing wrong here?

Hi,
thank you very much for your quick reply. In fact, you now pointed me into the right direction to find out where the error comes from: I was using the command inside of a repo I had just forked myself. However, as could then be seen in the debug logs, the agent task was targeting the forked upstream, and not my repo, making it obvious why that fails. I created a bug report for this right away, see here:
