Nexus (.nex/.nxs) files, PyMol, CWL, gff, fna, and ImageJ scripts are possible file formats that we could extend bioSyntax to support (see #1 and 8, 17, 22, 23, 25, 27 of #2). If anyone is interested in enabling syntax highlighting for other dense file formats with raw data that they would like to read and comprehend easier, let us know and this could be something we could work on during the Mozilla Sprint. A list of possible ones are below:
- gene ontologies (GO)
- medical imaging (e.g. nifti, DICOM)
- health informatics (e.g. HL-7, LOINC, SNOMED, ICD-10, SDMX)
- pharmacy (NCPDP)
