I cannot connect to any WASM-4 game via NETPLAY over the internet. LAN connections work fine.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Attempt to connect to a WASM-4 game via NETPLAY over the internet
  2. The connecting player screen stays black and never connects

Observations

Tested Devices: Windows PC, Android Phone
Tested Browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave
Tested Internet Connections: Residential to... Residential, VPN, and Cellphone Network also Cell to VPN
The issue seems to persists beyond potential monthly bandwidth limits

  • It's most likely not directly related, but when testing I also found that if hosting a game from Brave I could only connect to it (over LAN) from Brave.

I read that the netplay feature is still in development and may contain some bugs. Did you try connecting with someone, or was someone unable to connect with you?

UPD: I think Brave is a secure browser with its own built-in firewall. To connect to the host using Brave, you need to use the Brave.
UPD2: Shall we check it out together? Could you please provide me with a link to this online game?
