VolumeSampling: Non-uniform particle distribution on a bowl-shaped mesh #366

Hi everyone, I'm currently using the As you can see in the attached image, I'm encountering two main issues. First, the particle density is significantly higher at the bottom of the bowl compared to the top walls. Also, increasing SDF resolution(two results in the middle in image) results in a wierd aliasing-like pattern of voids. My goal is to achieve a dense, uniform distribution throughout the entire volume of the mesh. A key constraint for my scene is that the particle radius must be fixed at 0.02 to match the fluid particles, and that it must be dense enough. Here is a summary of what I've tried so far without success:
Despite these attempts, the problem hasn't been solved. Could anyone suggest how to achieve a more uniform particle placement? I'm wondering if I'm missing a specific parameter or if there's a known sensitivity to the mesh geometry (e.g., thickness, curvature) that might be causing this. I do not see the problem, have to take a closer look in the next days. A fast solution would be to use a poisson disk sampling in Meshlab. |
