OFFPLANET
A downloadable project
You are a brave captain on an important mission, your trusty crew by your side. Your beloved spaceship is headed towards an unexplored planet at the edge of the known galaxy. Just as you approach your destination, klaxons blare and red lights flash. You shout out to your crew to brace for impact. You’re going down!
A JOURNALING GAME FOR ONE PLAYER
A single d6 and a little time to get creative is all you'll need. Prompts and tables push the captain and crew into danger as they face alien threats and the weird weather of a hostile planet. But you are the real master and commander of this cosmic survival tale. The first-person short story you end up with might be just the first of many tales of adventure.
This game draws heavy tonal inspiration from the wild intergalactic pulp adventures of the 1930s - 1960s... Exciting worlds of danger and daring, packed with all the cheesy tropes of the era. So fill your Captain’s Astro-Log with silly pseudo-science and techno-babble and lean into the 2-dimensionality of the rocket-age retro-future.

I’m having a blast playing as Captain Colada (so named after the drink I was enjoying when I began playing). Here’s my “play-by-thread” tweet storm actual play: https://twitter.com/instadeathpod/status/1521202168321265664?s=21&t=vHnCxzLlRO1LhLLSqNN7CQ
I finished this up in 6 “days”, and had a blast doing it. It was a Partial Success. We lost our beloved security officer, but I can’t wait to prove myself on my next mission.
Excellent work, captain. You are the hero we deserve.
this game is beautiful and thematic. I love the art style, and the simplicity of the gameplay. I would love to have this in print (in any form, but especially as an old school “pulp” magazine)
