Game Finished? Rating Notes
Final Fantasy X Yes

The plot is interesting (minus the Tidus Yuna love story, which I didn't care for because I don't care for Tidus) and I enjoyed most of the characters and the dynamics that occurred in the world as a whole and just between our party of characters. While it isn't the best game I've ever played, I found it altogether enjoyable. I think what hindered my enjoyment the most was simply Tidus lol.

Rental Yes

Short and sweet game I came across on twitter. 3D graphics were adorable and the shortness complimented the horror aspect really well. Second part of the house did make me super dizzy though.

Fear & Hunger Yes

I really love this game and finally got around to playing through more of the endings! The enemy design, lore, and atmosphere is so good. Literally unmatched. Finally going to play Termina soon!

Fear & Hunger 2: Termina Yes

Really adored this one as well (is "adore" the right word for a game like this?) and found it to be more enjoyable than the first, especially with the greater focus on character and world building that leaves out the perfect amount to be engaging. I've gotten ending A, B, & C and am now working on getting all the characters' B endings. My favorite characters so far have been Daan and Marina, but I overall like all the playable characters.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age Yes

I enjoyed this one well enough and found it to be alright to play through. My main complaints are the fantasy politics are difficult for me to keep yo with (I have a very basic idea of what's going on and that is about it) and the combat system isn't as engaging as it was in previous games and relies on having gambits on, or else it feels clunky. Due to this, you are stuck with either a very passive combat system or one that is slow and clunky which is a bummer. Definitely not my favorite FF combat system by a long shot, though the boards were pretty fun. Another complaint I have is the characters felt quite flat imo, especially when compared to the FFX cast.

Final Fantasy VII (original) Yes

I see why this one is considered so iconic; it was a lot of fun to play through and the ideas presented with Midgar and Shinra are still painfully relevant, if not more so now than with FF7 was originally released. Some aspects of the story were reminiscent of Akira and Neon Genesis Evangelion (perhaps in aesthetic alone?) which I enjoyed greatly. I think I really appreciated that Shinra never sided with Cloud et al. once sephiroth and the meteor started to become the main threat in the story. I think some stories would focus on Shinra and Cloud having a common enemy, however FF7 really focused on the destructuve, "greater good," way Shinra deals with issues as a stark contrast to Cloud & co.. I mean, it is impossible to divorce Shinra's military campaigns from the creation of Sephiroth and other genetically engineered solider members.

Corpse Party (2021) Yes

I liked the setting and ghost story (for the most part) behind this one, which made all the flaws 100x more annoying for me. I think the most obvious flaw, and the one that turned me off the most, was the sexualization of the 7-17 year old cast of girls. The panty shots, the piss sideplot, and the incest sideplot all actively detracted value from the overall plot and rountinely interrupted any of my immersion in the story. Another less upsetting aspect of the game I didn't fully enjoy was the Sachiko twist. I simply didn't find her as intimidating as the principal's son. Once this twist got expanded on more I appreciated it more but it was still meh in my books.
