This conclusion, accepted by practically all Biblical scholars of the present day, is based upon a literary analysis of the contents of the Gospels and their inter-relationships. Carl Lachmann in 1835l was the first clearly to formulate this principle, which has been vindicated by the intensive investigation of the Gospels since his time. As a result, the Gospel of Mark, after long neglect, came back into its own as the most important single source for our knowledge of the life of Jesus.

The uniqueness of creation in the HB and LXX remained the standard throughout the second temple period despite changes in Jewish traditions. Second temple Judaism developed traditions building upon the concept of wisdom in the creation. However, the Jewish faith excluded any indication of transition from another preexilic account of creation. The DSS and apocryphal writings presented that God created all things through wisdom. That wisdom is the word or as Philo perceived the Logos. For Philo, the Logos is the divine thought that created the world. This presentation of the second temple perspective of creation shines light upon the acceptance and rise of the Christian faith.

The methodological approach of this brief introduction is to provide the position of critical scholarship for comparison to the early church perception of the Gospel of Mark. This study is to follow the critical position to the brink of faith that Jesus is the Son of Man. Furthermore, critical academics leave Mark open to the resurrection when female disciples found Jesus’s tomb empty. The accounts of the early church stand firm and yet in contrast to critical scholarship that continues to search for conclusions.

This concise study is limited to a brief defense of Peter’s authorship of 2 Peter. The research behind this study included critical academic sources for the rejection of Peter’s authorship of 2 Peter. This examination of 2 Peter searches for sound evidence to challenge academics to reconsider Peter’s authorship. The following evidence establishes Peter’s authorship upon the attributed author, early Christian acceptance, internal evidence related to motive, and the commonality Peter’s words with 2 Peter.

Isaiah uses alliteration and parallelism to prophesy of God, the Holy One of Israel, who will save His people. Isaiah is a compelling work challenging critics to reconsider predictive prophecies.
This introduction to the book of Isaiah searches for a compelling plea to challenge scholarship to reconsider its approach to Isaiah. The methodological approach of this introduction notes the link of ancient witnesses to Isaian authorship. This approach also examines the structure of Isaiah’s text compared to its theological messages. By affirming Isaiah’s textual background, scholarship can cross-examine the suppositions of historical criticism. The conclusion will result with either a growth of complex ideas or a simplified understanding of facts.

However, the intention of this study is not specifically to address allegations of genocide against God, but to address suspect scriptures that appear to depict God commanding genocide. Is there a reasonable position for defending God's commands or accusing God of mandating murder?
