ADJETIVOS DEMOSTRATIVOS
This- (thies) Uno que está cerca (Esta, esto, éste)
That–(that) Uno que está lejos (Esa, eso, ése, aquél, aquélla, aquello)
These – (diz) Varios que están cerca (Estas, éstos)
Those – (dous) Varios que están lejos (Esos, ésas, aquellos, aquéllos)
Ejemplos:
This is an apple Esta es una manzana. Esto es una manzana
That is an orange Esa es una naranja. Aquella es una naranja
These are apples Estas son manzanas
Those are oranges Esas son naranjas. Aquellas son naranja
PALABRA INTERROGATIVA “WHAT?” ¿QUE?
WHAT Se refiere únicamente a cosas. Cuando se interroga usando una palabra interrogativa esta irá
antes del auxiliar. Cuando se interroga con los adjetivos demostrativos, se puede contestar con este
o con el pronombre sujeto.
Ejemplos:
What´s this? What are those?
This is a pencil. It is a pencil Those are windows. They are windows
Nota: Todos los
terminados en “man”, su
plural es “men”
PLURAL- PLURALES
sh, x, ch, s - es cons. before y -ies Vowel before y – s F, fe- ves
Si el sustantivo termina en Si el sustantivo termina en “y” Pero si en su lugar esta antes Cuando el sustantivo
“sh, x, ch, s” o con el antecedida por una consonante, se una vocal solo se agregara una termina en “f” o “fe”,
sonido “s”, se le agrega “es” eliminara la letra “y” y n su lugar se “s”. se cambia la “f” por “v”
para formar el plural. agregará el sufijo “ies.” y se agregará “es”
Examples
Dish- dishes Baby- babies Boy- boys Wolf- wolves
fox – foxes Candy- candies toy-toys knife- knives
watch – watches secretary- secretaries tray-trays wife-wives
dress- dresses
En inglés, algunos plurales son irregulares pues tienen una forma especial y en ellos no se utiliza la “s”.
