Zero conditional
👉 Se usa para:
– Hablar de verdades universales.
– Dar instrucciones u órdenes.
👉 Estructura
If + Sujeto + Presente Simple, Sujeto + Presente Simple
If + You + eat cakes, You + get fat
Si comes tortas, engordas.
👉 Ejemplos:
If you don’t wash your socks, they smell bad. SI no lavas tus medias, ellas huelen mal.
If you don’t put suncream, you burn yourself. Si no te pones protector solar, te quemas.
If I sleep for 8 hours, I feel fresh. Si duermo 8 hs, me siento fresco.
También se puede empezar la frase con ‘when’ en el zero conditional: When I sleep for 8
hours, I feel fresh.
Y dar la vuelta a las oraciones, con este y con todos, pero en este caso sin coma: I feel fresh
when I sleep for 8 hours.
Para dar instrucciones u órdenes:
If you come late, don’t make noise. Si llegas tarde, no hagas ruido.
If she calls again, tell her I am busy. Si llama de nuevo, dile que estoy ocupado.
First conditional
👉 Se usa para hablar de: – Situaciones probables, reales en el futuro.
👉 Estructura
If + Sujeto + Presente Simple, sujeto + Will/Won’t + infinitive
Ejercitación
If + I + eat cakes , I + Will get fat
Si como tortas, engordaré.
👉 Ejemplos:
If you don’t clean the house, you‘ll (will) sleep on the sofa. Si no limpias la casa, dormirás en el
sofá.
If I sleep on the sofa, I won’t (will not) sleep well. Si duermo en el sofá, no dormiré bien.
Recuerda usar las contracciones: I’ll, you’ll, he’ll, she’ll, it’ll, we’ll, you’ll they’ll. Así sonarás
mucho más como un nativo.
Traducir las siguientes oraciones
1. If I go out tonight, I'll go to the cinema
Si salgo esta noche, iré al cine
2. If you get back late, I'll be angry.
Si vuelves tarde, estaré enojado
3. If we don’t see each other tomorrow, we'll see each other next week.
Si no nos vemos mañana, nos veremos la semana que viene.
4. If he comes, I'll be surprised.
