Post forlaso de N.W.A en decembro 1989, Ice Cube komencis sukcesan karieron, publikigante la albumojn AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted (1990) kaj Death Certificate (1991), kiuj ambaŭ ekhavis platenan atestilon en Usono, ankaŭ estante klasifikitaj kiel difino de albumoj de la 1990-aj jaroj.
