EU works with international organisations and participates in several international initiatives and events.

Energy Community
Working to extend EU's energy market rules and principles to non-EU countries in the Balkans, the Black Sea region and beyond.
Clean Energy Ministerial
The Commission, on behalf of the EU, is part of the high-level global forum Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) and Mission Innovation (MI).
Energy Charter
Signed in 1994 to provide a framework and forum for cooperation on energy security, open and competitive markets, and sustainability. 
G7 and G20
The EU is represented at both the G7 and G20 meetings of energy ministers.
