Cognate with Yoruba ẹnu, Olukumi ẹrun, Owé Yoruba arun, Èkìtì Yoruba ẹrụn, Oǹdó Yoruba ẹun, and Igbo ọ́nú, proposed to be derived from Proto-Yoruboid *ɛ́-lʊ̃.
