Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, MiPe, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your contributions; I hope you like it here and decide to stay. We're glad to have you in our community! Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian. Although we all make mistakes, please keep in mind what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful.

Happy editing!

P.S. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you need help with anything or simply wish to say hello. :)

Thanks for moving the image to Commons. When I originally uploaded this (and several other) images to Wikipedia, I hadn't quite figured out the categories on Commons well enough to put it there. Neil916 (Talk) 07:18, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge discussion for Beryllium poisoning

[edit]

An article that you have been involved in editing, Beryllium poisoning , has been proposed for a merge with another article. If you are interested in the merge discussion, please participate by going here, and adding your comments on the discussion page. Thank you. Scray (talk) 05:14, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Interlanguage linking

[edit]

Hello, MiPe! When you add interlanguage links on enwiki, it would be better to add them straight to Wikidata (cf. Help:Interlanguage links#Wikidata). Tämä ominaisuus tulee toivon mukaan kohta myös suomenkieliseen Wikipediaan. --Silvonen (talk) 08:35, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OrganoSe chem

[edit]

If you get a chance, here are suggestions for editing the set of structures you uploaded. It was a good idea, but some aspects could be fine tuned.

  • show that selenoxides are pyramidal at Se, this is a pretty big deal.
  • ditto for seleninic acid, again a big deal
  • as you can confirm, there are essentially zero selenaldehydes and extremely few selenoketones, so you might either drop them as being too esoteric or put them at bottom of the list.
  • RSeCl are usually called alkylselenyl chlorides, alkyl selenium chloride is not used by practioners
  • I avoid capitalizing names of chemicals, since it is grammatically incorrect, but that is your call.

Thanks for your efforts.--Smokefoot (talk) 13:36, 17 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your feedback. I'll upload a new edited version of the file soonish. --MiPe (talk) 16:29, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

CdO

[edit]

the image you uploaded for CdO is inferior in several ways, in my opinion. Readers want to see multiple unit cells and it is helpful to see highlighted coordination polyhedra. The motif is identical for NaCl and CdO. Also there are no M-M bonds, of course.

BTW, are you going to address the deficiencies in your organoSe drawing? A further tip - used a sans serif font (helvetica is common).

If you have questions, feel free to ask. --Smokefoot (talk) 14:12, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

DYK nomination of Leptodactylus fallax

[edit]

Hello! Your submission of Leptodactylus fallax at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Nitraus, this was unfortunately far from eligible: the expanded article must be five times the pre-expansion size, while this added only about a quarter to the original length. There's no realistic chance that the article can be expanded another 36,000+ prose characters as would be needed (it's currently over 11,000); as the reviewer noted, its best chance is to become a Good Article at some point in the future, after which it can again be nominated at DYK. Plagiarism

[edit]

You might expect to hear from someone who is writing an article about the plagiarism case that you detected. Elsevier basically retracted the whole book. Cheers, --Smokefoot (talk) 19:16, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
