Rewrite

[edit]

I rewrote much of this article, and added more historical information. The article as it stood needed a serious cleanup, and also needed to be adjusted for WP:NPOV. The station lineup was removed, as the general consensus regarding broadcasting articles is not to act as a listening guide (WP:NOT). Also removed much of the redundant information, to allow for easier reading. --Fightingirish 21:38, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just did a major polish to the above rewrite, fixing the tone, consolidating headings, scrapping most of what appeared to be a mini vanity piece inserted by a DJ, adding numerous links to other articles to clarify some of the broadcastingbabble and less-well-known terms, and generally cleaning up the article.
I have also tagged several items in need of sources, in case anyone is motivated enough to go and seek them out. The items I tagged each have a high enough truthiness factor for me not to dismiss them out of hand, but it would be nice if someone took it upon him- or herself to elevate them from believable hearsay to fact. 71.193.218.54 19:37, 1 March 2007 (UTC) is now Dynaflow 22:11, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Missing Section?

[edit]

There is a reference in the text to a section regarding "The Controversial Firing of David D", which is linked to a section on the page, but this section appears to have been removed. Should the reference to the section be removed, or was the removal of that section unintentional? Interestingly average (talk) 19:50, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:KMEL1982.JPG

[edit]

Image:KMEL1982.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
