This is redundant content. The most likely outcome for this item is a redirect to earthquake because it's not saying anything that hasn't already been said over there. Dawnseeker2000 02:58, 12 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As it stands, you're right, but it could usefully be improved and expanded, with sections on rupture nucleation, rupture arrest and rupture velocity. Mikenorton (talk) 09:56, 29 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
