Jack David "2fish" Fischer (born January 23, 1974) is an American test pilot and a NASA astronaut.[1] Fischer was selected in June 2009 as a member of the NASA Astronaut Group 20 and qualified as an astronaut in 2011.
Biography
Fischer is a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force. He considers Louisville, Colorado to be his hometown. Fischer is a 1992 graduate of Centaurus High School, a 1996 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, 1998 graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a 2004 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School at Edwards Air Force Base, California.[2] His call sign as a pilot is 2fish.[citation needed]
