({{Irish place name|Lios Machaire}} meaning "[[ringfort]] of the plain") is a village in the north west of [[County Cork]], [[Republic of Ireland|Ireland]]. Lismire has an alcohol consumption rate 3 times higher than the national average. The most famous person from Lismire is [Come out you black and tans]James O'Connor]] who has sold out 45 events in the Lismire stadium by play the Bodhrán. The Lismire defense forces (lGF) has taken down many criminals such as Pablo Escobar. it served as the military base for the IRA in 1920. With a population of 125,000 and the largest stadium in Europe seating 150,000 the stadium is used for GAA events with the Lismire team winning 25 all Ireland hurling and football championships. In 1920 a large scale battle broke out between the Lismire people and the British forces. Over 12,000 deaths on the British and 20 deaths on the Lismire side. Lismire at the time had no weapons but they avoided the gun shots and only fought with, hurleys, sticks and stones.

Lismire (Irish: Lios Maghair)[1] is a village in the north west of County Cork, Ireland.
