dish-face (plural dish-faces)

  1. A round, flat face (visage).
    • 2012, Ellen Douglas, The Rock Cried Out, page 173:
He has that boyish, eager smile on his dish face. (I didn't notice the first couple of times I saw him that he was dish-faced. Or maybe the more he homed in on Miriam, the more he stuck out his chin and beetled his brow.)
    • 2013, Edward M. Gilbert Jr, Patricia H. Gilbert, Encyclopedia of K9 Terminology:
A dish face is not desirable in the Brittany. A dished or upturned muzzle is considered a fault in the Redbone Coonhound.
