From the zero-grade of the root of deñgti (cover, conceal). Cognate with Latvian diñgt (to be quiet, control oneself).

  1. (intransitive) to disappear, vanish, go away
    Diñk mán ìš akių̃! - Get out of my sight!
  2. (intransitive) get away; find a place for oneself
    Mán jaũ nėrà kur̃ diñgti. - I have no way out now.
    Àš pirtiẽs vakarýkščios võs gýva - nèt nezinaũ kur̃ diñgti. - I was half dead after last night's sauna; I didn't know what to do with myself.
