Unknown. Compare كِمّ (kimm, calyx of a flower, the envelope or spathe of a palm-tree or the like), or perhaps even كُمّ (kumm, sleeve) as the body stacks up thickness in this area, and also أَكَمَة (ʔakama, hill, mound).
