Español: El lienzo representa la batalla de Tetuán, librada el día 31 de enero de 1860 en Tetuán, Marruecos, entre el Ejército Español de África y el Ejército de Marruecos por la posesión de la plaza. La batalla formó parte de la guerra hispano-marroquí de 1859–1860 y fue ganada por el ejército español, que estaba comandado por el general Leopoldo O'Donnell, quien fue nombrado duque de Tetuán por su victoria.
