Amandola

Amandola is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Fermo in the Italian region Marche, located about 70 km south of Ancona, about 25 km northwest of Ascoli Piceno and about 35 km east of Fermo.

The town was founded in 1248 from the union of three castles: Leone, Marrubbione and Agello. The main sight is the church of St. Augustine (15th century), with a Gothic portal and a bell tower designed by Pietro Lombardo. The Palazzo del Podestà is from 1352.
