Latvian

Latvian is an Indo-European language, which belongs to the Baltic language family; the language itself is first attested in the 16th century. It has many archaic features. It also has some striking similarities with Russian and Polish, with Germanic and Finnic-like pronunciation of words as well as loanwords from these language families.
