The Single Use Materials Decelerator (SUM’D) is a fiscally sponsored project of Habitable, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (EIN 20-5036229) based in Washington, DC. All contributions are tax deductible. No goods or services will be provided in exchange for your contribution.
The SUM’D brings together leading food service companies, waste managers, non-profit and civil society organizations, and technical experts working towards reducing the environmental and human health burden of foodware and food packaging used in restaurants and cafeterias, and grew out of an accelerator program initiated by the Food Team at Google and led by the non-profit organization The Lexicon.
