The thesis shows examples of how both human reality and self-understanding begins to involve more digital elements that ultimately are more attached to the system than the physical aspects.
The increased integration between man and the Internet are discussed through relevant examples. The thesis develops a model that provides a common language through which it
is possible to handle interdisciplinary scientific cooperation, as well as a tool for teaching or market understanding.
Finally the current situation is conceptualized as the rolling paradigm shift. A concept that denotes that the human experience of the digital world, by definition, is ultra personal and can not be shared with others like experiences in the physical world can be. A person therefore lives with a personal digital paradigm in an acceptance/non-acceptance, as well as understanding/non-understanding that other people have a different, but equally valid, digitally paradigm - a fact which in many ways makes it more difficult to handle communication and interaction in the digital world than it is in the physical world.
